Gym or Home Training :)

I saw an article the other day that suggested that Gym is more effective than Home workout.
Well,,,,,,, I personally don’t agree with it πŸ™‚
All my life I have exercised home and never felt the need to go to the Gym, because I didn’t want to waste my money on something that I could do by exercising at home and not spending a dime for it πŸ™‚
The last 3 years I’ve been working out almost everyday. I bought a pair of dumbbells, which helped me a lot on the variety of my exercises and now my body is in a great shape.
Exercising at home is great for as long as you’re willing to workout and eat healthy πŸ™‚
You don’t have to go to the Gym to keep your body toned or ripped, because by only exercising at home you’ll turn your body in the best shape possible.
And If you have trouble finding what exercises to do at home, just start browsing on the internet and you’ll find hundreds of different workouts:

Doing exercises like:
Jumping Jacks
Mountain Climbers
High Knees
Push ups
Pull ups
Sit ups & Crunches
Dips (between two chairs)
Squats
Running
Walking
And if you buy a pair of Dumbbells you have an extra 10-20 different exercises only with the use of dumbbells.
So my point is that, we don’t have to go to the Gym to lose weight, or stay in shape or get ripped.
All we have to do is use our home and also natures beautiful places for jogging or walking.
Eat healthy, exercise everyday and keep water as your best friend.
Love & Peace to all πŸ™‚Image

  1. Thanks for the follow. Also, I agree! I have never stepped into a gym. I train at home and love it.

  2. You are so right, the main thing is motivation and will power to stick with it. Well done – I think you’ve done fabulously πŸ™‚ I long to get back into exercising – when my back is ‘fixed’, until then I’m thankful for walking around. Great inspiration.

Thanks for visiting my blog, you’ve reminded me so much of how I felt when I was fit and healthy….

    Ciao, Susan x

  3. You are very welcome and thank you too πŸ™‚

  4. I wish I could work out at home. I tried it for about six months and it never failed, the second I started working out someone would need something, or something would break, or someone was hungry. Made me crazy. Not to mention I lift heavy and don’t have room for a bar bell, and squat rack. πŸ™‚

  5. That is different if you are a lifter and need more equipment, but in my case all I use for lifting are my dumbbells and everything else is body-weight exercises πŸ™‚

  6. I fully agree, I had a gym membership for years and it didn’t help, I started training at home a year and a half ago, I have lost 18kg and are way fitter. I think the gym can also work it really depends on motivation and being consistent with your workouts. For me bodyweight workouts at home are the easiest thing to keep doing.

  7. I love body weight exercises πŸ™‚ It reminds me how the ancient soldiers, athletes and gladiators used to workout πŸ™‚

  8. Great post and I totally agree!

  9. πŸ™‚ Thank you πŸ™‚

  10. I agree, even though I do go to a gym. But I like the gym and the spirit it brings with it and therefore I still use the gym.
Another great thing about these exercises is that they can be done outside, add a park to that and you will have an even better verity.

  11. Yes is very true πŸ™‚

  12. Thanks! Great info on a great topic! πŸ™‚

  13. πŸ™‚ You are very welcome and thank you πŸ™‚

  14. Thanks for liking my latest post! I agree with everything you’ve put here, spending money on a gym would just be a waste.

  15. πŸ™‚ Thank you and you are very welcome πŸ™‚

  16. The list is great – although I have to admit, you must have a very strong will to do home workouts! I wish I did, but I just don’t. Only when I leave the house with my hair unwashed and in my gym clothes in the morning I know that I do not have another option but to go to the gym before work πŸ™‚

P.S. Also, there is no way you can do swimming at home! Unless you have a massive pool…

  17. Great advice, and a guy who reads off the same sheet as myself… Good on you man!

  18. πŸ™‚ Thank you my friend πŸ™‚

  19. My brother-in-law only did push-ups, but I was amazed at his upper body physique and strength. He did 3 sets of 40 push-ups.
Obviously you need to do more to take care of other muscle groups, though, such as squats.

  20. Of course you have to do other exercises to work all your muscles, but at least he does push ups which are great for upper body πŸ™‚

  21. I think this is great! I’ve come to really enjoy outdoor workouts this summer. Other my sessions with my trainer, I’m barely at the gym.

  22. Outdoor workouts are excellent πŸ™‚

  23. Your in awesome shape, fantastic work, it is great that you do it all at home, gives people hope/proof of what can be achieved outside of a gym!

  24. Thank you so much πŸ™‚ Mind is a powerful weapon, once you set it to do the right thing for you πŸ™‚

  25. I agree with this! Unless I have the extra money to spend on a gym membership, I just can’t do that in my life right now so home fitness is the way to go for me. Thank you for the list! I am definitely following your blog so I can catch more tips and stuff.

  26. You are very welcome and Thank you πŸ™‚

  27. Great post. I personally like going to the gym. I have too many distractions at home. Plus, it’s a super small place. lol

  28. Thank you and in your case gym is the better solution πŸ™‚

  29. Prior to illness I did work out in a gym 3 to 5 times a week, simply because I liked the environment, being surrounded by people and activity. Also, I was content to work out at home and walking was always a bonus. Currently, I am physically unable to do these things and I’ve watched myself change. So, this is where you come in. Grin. I have a physiotherapist, but this is to help keep me somewhat mobile and flexible, though it adds nothing to strength. Do you have any suggestions where I may obtain other alternatives that could help me until I am able to do things for myself? My legs and arms are unable to lift things at present, to re-gain strength in them, is there anything I can do or have someone help me with? Thanks for your time. Blessings to you and your family. Belinda

    • What is the nature of your illness, and did you recover from it? Isometrics are the best way to gain strength.

  30. For hands I suggest you a “tennis ball”. Squeeze the ball as much as you can for e period of time and then alternate. You can do that all day and it will help your hands gain some strength. For legs I suggest you “leg raises” if you can. Do them everyday until you gain strength and you’ll feel better. I wish you a quick recovery πŸ™‚

  31. I totally agree. I must add one thing. Some people need correction and know proper form when doing exercise in which a personal trainer can assist. But a gym is still not required for such assistance. Good work emphasizing nutrition. It is 80% of your workout. Keep up the good work.

  32. Thank you πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  33. I belong to the YMCA and go there for yoga or to swim, but other than that, I can get all the exercise I need at home. The reason I keep the gym membership is because I need social interaction sometimes because I’m retired and don’t have anyone to talk to during the day.

  34. I totally agree with your choice πŸ™‚ All that matters is that we stay active and healthy πŸ™‚

  35. I agree, and when you think of things like insanity or p90x all you need is some equipment and your own motivation and commitment

  36. πŸ™‚ Thank you πŸ™‚ Once we convince our mind, everything is possible then πŸ™‚

  37. I do workout at home, and I also run and use the gym. But personally, I find the thing that motivates me most is exercise classes. I tend to quit easier when I’m working out alone!
Loving what ive seen of your blog so far πŸ™‚
